The ARRI ALEXA Mini has just received an update to it’s firmware which means new features for an already fantastic camera!
While the updates in version 5.3 are small, they make the camera a bit more customizable and user friendly.
The first feature allows for the operator to override the proximity sensor of the MVF-1. This will allow the operator to quickly check the EVF without relying on the sensor to turn the viewfinder on, making it a much easier experience.
The second new feature adds two new user buttons that are fully customizable, creating a unique experience tailored to your needs on a shoot.
The final addition in this update is the ability to fully control metadata in-camera, in case you want to make life easier for your editor.
Come by and try out the new features in the Picture This Equipment Department! Or you can book your camera rental now and use it yourself on a shoot.
We are still running our special pricing on the ALEXA Mini, so be sure to take advantage of it while it lasts!
